The Gmail plugin makes it easy to learn more about the person and company you're emailing without ever leaving your inbox. Installing the Chrome extension will give you access to the plugin and give you insights on profiles directly from Gmail. No additional installation is necessary to get access.
Once installed, you can navigate to Gmail and see the company and individual Distill profiles of the people you're emailing. Click on the company profile to learn more about the organization or a person's profile to start reading their Distill insights. You can view them in-line within your inbox or click on the arrow to the right of the person or company profile to navigate to their complete profile on Distill.fyi.
- What if the person is using a personal email address? Not a problem; we'll organize anyone using a personal email address under the Personal email addresses grouping. Those profiles won't be associated with a specific company but will be organized with all other personal emails.

Can I hide or ignore specific profiles? Yes, you can ignore specific profiles by clicking on the more options menu next to each profile. You can unhide an email by navigating to the bottom of the Gmail plugin and left-clicking on it. We'll try to hide all system emails, e.g no-reply@.
- The Distill profile information doesn't match the email. What can I do? You can mark a profile as incorrect, and we'll start by showing recommended profiles that might be a match. You can also search for the profile or even give us more information using a LinkedIn URL to help us match that person to their profile. You'll only need to match the profile once to apply it to you and all other Distill users.
How to Uninstall the Gmail plugin
You can uninstall the Gmail plugin by going to the Distill Chrome extension and right-clicking to open up options. Once on the options page, uncheck Enable The Gmail plugin and hit Save. Once saved, you can close the page, and you should no longer see the Gmail plugin in your inbox. If you have any issues here please contact support@distill.fyi.
