Distill allows you to collaborate with others by inviting users to contribute to your List. Unlike sharing a List for viewing, inviting users enables full collaboration and management access to your List.
How It Works
-
Invite a User: Navigate to Lists, find your List, and click on Invite users in the more options menu. Enter an email address and press Share to send the invite.
-
Email Notification: The invited user receives an email prompting them to accept the invitation.
-
User Acceptance:
-
New Users: If you do not have an account, they will receive an invitation email and must complete the onboarding process before gaining access to manage the List.
- Existing users: you will receive an email to accept access to the List and will have access to a List immediately. Make sure you are logged into Distill.
-
- Work on a List together - Now you and your others can collaborate on Lists together.
Pending invites
If you've sent a request for someone to join your List, you can see pending invites on your List when you access Invite users.
Revoking Access
If you no longer want a user to have access to your List, you can navigate to the List settings and use the revoke access dropdown to remove permissions. If their invite is pending, you can revoke the invite.
Transferring Ownership
You can transfer ownership of a List to another user. This is done by selecting the dropdown menu and changing a member's role from "Member" to "Owner."
List Member Permissions
-
List members can add content to a List.
-
They cannot remove or delete the List itself.
